Bears love to eat the same foods we do. While vacationing in the Kootenays, be safe and manage all garbage and food to avoid attracting bears to your camp or summer home.

• Keep and leave your vacation spot clean so that people after you don't have bears in the are.
• Keep your pets under control at all times so they don't harass wildlife, potentially putting you in danger.
